Happy Train
One night this week, I was hit by a revelation. I was sitting on the train for the longest portion of my 2-hour commute, feeling unproductive and stuffing myself with French fries that were getting cold. It started as nothing more than my nightly Eeyore moment while I wait to doze off.
Then, my Inner Child burst forth in a shower of rainbows and kittycats to remind me that any child born anywhere ever would be thrilled - absolutely thrilled - to trade places with me any time.
But of course! To ride a train while stuffing my pie hole with French fries. I didn't have to share and I didn't have to eat my salad first. Heeeeee - the high life! Bravo! Huzzah! And in contrast to the limitations of childhood dreams, I actually got to grow up and be this magnificent person who rides trains and eats fries. I started digging it and actually nodding.
That was loads of fun where I least expected it. I was strangely energized instead of sleepy. Yessir, life is good.
Dork factor or massive clue? Not sure it matters. I wonder what's next. Howzaboutchoo?
